Customize Dark GUI Colors and Contrast

Accessing GUI Texture Files

K's DARK GUI uses standard resource pack texture files stored in .minecraft/resourcepacks/. To adjust colors, you'll need to edit the GUI texture images directly.

1. Navigate to your resource pack folder

2. Locate the assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ directory

3. Open container textures (like container.png for chests) in an image editor

4. Modify the dark background colors, border shades, or slot highlights to your preference

5. Save and reload your resource pack in-game

Reloading Changes

After editing textures, press F3 + T (or go to Options > Resource Packs > Reload) to apply changes without restarting. Test your modifications in various menus—crafting tables, furnaces, and storage blocks—to ensure consistency across all interfaces.

If you're uncomfortable editing images directly, consider duplicating the pack and making small adjustments to learn how each texture affects specific UI elements.
