Enhance Shadows Under Trees and Structures
Locate Shadow Settings
Open the Kolor Shaders menu and find shadow-related options. These typically include shadow quality, shadow distance, and shadow intensity or darkness sliders.
Increase Shadow Darkness
Raise the shadow intensity or darkness value to make shadows cast by trees, buildings, and terrain features more pronounced. Higher values create deeper, more defined shadows that add depth and contrast to your world. Test this during midday when shadows are most visible.
Extend Shadow Distance
If available, increase the shadow render distance so shadows appear farther from the camera. This prevents shadows from popping in and out as you move, creating a more cohesive lighting environment across larger areas.
Adjust Shadow Softness
Look for a softness or blur slider. Lower values create sharp, realistic shadows; higher values produce softer, more diffused shadows. Softer shadows feel more natural under dense foliage, while sharper shadows work well for architectural structures.
Test in Different Biomes
Visit forests, plains, and areas with tall buildings. Observe how shadows fall and adjust settings until they feel balanced—dark enough to add visual interest, but not so dark that gameplay visibility suffers.
