Firing and Using Portals

Aim your portal tool at any flat solid surface—walls, floors, or ceilings—and fire to place a gateway. You'll create blue and orange portals that link together automatically. Walk or jump through either portal to teleport to the other while keeping your full momentum, letting you launch yourself across distances or fling projectiles through.

Each player gets their own separate portal pair, so multiple players won't interfere with each other's paths. Press V to clear your active portals at any time. If a portal's supporting block breaks, the portal vanishes automatically.

You can also grab nearby mobs and solid blocks by aiming and pressing G, then throw them forward with mouse clicks to launch them through portals or across terrain.
