Installing Fire Sprinklers and Exit Signs

Sprinkler Placement

Place Fire Sprinklers on the ceiling throughout a build to suppress fires automatically. Cover every room that contains flammable blocks — wood floors, wool, bookshelves, and storage chests. Space them so each sprinkler reaches the area around it, and add more in large open rooms.

Sprinklers work alongside Smoke Detectors. Use detectors to warn you and sprinklers to act on the fire itself.

Marking Exits

Install Exit Signs so players can find their way out during an emergency. The Exit Sign comes in several directional variants: Exit Sign (left), Exit Sign (right), Exit Sign (left up), Exit Sign (left down), Exit Sign (right up), and Exit Sign (right down). Choose the variant that points toward the nearest exit and mount it above doorways or along corridors.

Place Fire Extinguisher Signs near wall-mounted extinguishers. Use Fire Extinguisher Sign (left) and Fire Extinguisher Sign (right) to point toward the extinguisher from a distance. Together, exit signs and extinguisher signs turn a base into a space where anyone can escape and find equipment without searching.
