How to Craft an Oak Log Raft in Just A Raft Mod

Gather Your Materials

Every raft in this mod is made from a single wood type, and the Oak Log Raft is the one you will build first in most worlds. You need Oak Logs, which you get by chopping any oak tree with an axe or by hand. Bring at least a few logs so you can craft more than one raft.

Crafting the Raft

The Oak Log Raft uses a shaped crafting recipe. Open your crafting grid and arrange Oak Logs in the pattern the recipe calls for. Once the grid matches, take the Oak Log Raft out of the result slot.

Place the finished Oak Log Raft on water to use it. It floats and lets you cross rivers, lakes, and oceans without swimming. Because the recipe is shaped, the position of each Oak Log matters — if nothing appears in the result slot, rearrange the logs until the grid matches.

Using and Reusing

You can craft as many Oak Log Rafts as you have logs for. Carry a spare in your inventory so you always have a way across water. If you pick the raft back up, you keep the materials invested in it and can redeploy it elsewhere.
