How to Copy a Painting onto Another Canvas

What You Need

Copying requires two canvases of the same type and a Palette. The registry includes Canvas, Glass Canvas, Large Canvas, Large Glass Canvas, Long Canvas, Long Glass Canvas, Tall Canvas, and Tall Glass Canvas. The source and the destination must match in size and material, because each canvas type is a separate registered block.

Copy Steps

1. Finish the original painting on its canvas.

2. Craft a second canvas of the exact same type.

3. Place the new canvas in the world.

4. Hold the Palette and interact with the finished painting to pick up its design.

5. Interact with the blank canvas to apply the copied design.

Notes

Glass Canvas variants copy onto Glass Canvas variants only; a Canvas design does not transfer onto a Glass Canvas. If you want a copy on a different size, you must repaint it on that size instead. Keep the Palette in hand for both the read and the write step, otherwise the interaction will not register.
