Planning Your Lance Progression from Wood to Netherite

Map Out the Six Tiers

There are exactly six lances in the Jousting Mod: Wooden Lance, Gold Lance, Iron Lance, Diamond Lance, Emerald Lance, and Netherite Lance. Treat them as a straight progression line. Each one is made with a crafting_shaped recipe, so the crafting process is consistent across tiers — only the core material changes. Plan your resource gathering around that order so you are never stuck without the next material.

Stockpile Materials in Tier Order

Work through the tiers one at a time. Gather logs first for the Wooden Lance. Then collect gold ingots for the Gold Lance. Smelt iron for the Iron Lance. Mine diamonds for the Diamond Lance. Build up emeralds through mining or trading for the Emerald Lance. Finally, process ancient debris into netherite scrap, combine it with gold to make netherite ingots, and craft the Netherite Lance.

Practical Tips

• Keep a crafting table in your base and one in your travel kit, since every lance is shaped.
• Do not skip the Wooden Lance — it confirms your recipe layout before you spend metals.
• Store each lance separately so you can grab the right tier for the fight ahead.
• Replace a lost Iron Lance rather than jumping straight to Diamond Lance if diamonds are tight.

Following the tier order keeps your material spending predictable and ensures you always have a lance matching your current gear level.
