How to Craft Every Lance in the Jousting Mod

Crafting the Wooden Lance First

Start with the Wooden Lance, since it is the cheapest of the six lances and lets you test the mod's mechanics before spending rare materials. All six lances use the crafting_shaped recipe type, so open a crafting table and arrange your materials in a fixed pattern rather than a shapeless pile. The Wooden Lance uses planks and sticks, so gather logs first, convert them to planks, and craft sticks.

Upgrading Through the Material Tiers

Once you have a Wooden Lance, work upward through the material list in this order: Wooden Lance, Gold Lance, Iron Lance, Diamond Lance, Emerald Lance, and finally Netherite Lance. Each tier requires the metal or gem of its name, so smelt raw iron and raw gold into ingots, mine diamonds, and trade or mine for emeralds. The Netherite Lance is the top tier and needs netherite, which means smelting ancient debris into netherite scrap and combining it with gold ingots to make netherite ingots before you craft the lance.
