Smelting Slime Ore into Slime Shards: Full Processing Guide

What You Need

Two blocks produce your raw material: Slime Ore and Deepslate Slime Ore. Both drop ore items when mined. Those drops are the input for the mod's smelting recipes — smelting is one of only two recipe types in Jerry's, so the furnace is a core part of your setup, not an afterthought.

Run the Furnace

1. Mine Slime Ore in the stone layers and Deepslate Slime Ore in the deepslate layers.

2. Place a furnace and fuel it with coal, charcoal or any burnable you have.

3. Smelt the ore drops. The output is Slime Shard.

4. Bank shards in a chest next to the furnace so crafting sessions are not interrupted.

Run two furnaces side by side if you are mining in bulk — ore comes in faster than one furnace can process it.

What Slime Shards Unlock

Slime Shard is the crafting material for the entire Slime equipment line: Slime Sword, Slime Pickaxe, Slime Axe, Slime Shovel, Slime Hoe, Slime Helmet, Slime Chestplate, Slime Leggings and Slime Boots. All are crafting_shaped recipes using standard tool and armor patterns. Craft the Slime Pickaxe first — it speeds up every mining trip that feeds the furnace, which compounds into faster access to Slime Gem and the Jerry tier.
