Maximize Water Visuals: Caustics, Foam, and Clarity
Understand Water Features
ISKRA enhances water with three main visual upgrades: shoreline foam that appears where water meets land, caustic projections that create moving light patterns on submerged blocks, and improved water transparency. These features work together to make water feel dynamic and alive.
Position Yourself to See Caustics
Caustics are most visible when you're underwater or looking at the seafloor from above. Dive into deep water or look through transparent water blocks at blocks below the surface. The caustic patterns shift and flow, creating the illusion of light refracting through water.
Observe Shoreline Foam
Stand near the edge of water bodies—beaches, rivers, and lake shores all display foam where water meets land. This effect is most noticeable during daytime when lighting is strong. The foam adds visual depth without requiring additional blocks or structures.
Adjust Water Settings if Available
If your shader settings include water-specific options, you can control caustic intensity or foam density. Lower-end systems may benefit from reducing these effects slightly to maintain framerate stability while keeping the visual upgrade.
