Capture Rain Ripples and Weather Effects

Rain ripples display automatically during thunderstorms and rain. If you want to see them immediately without waiting, use /weather rain to trigger precipitation. The ripple effect activates across all wet surfaces—grass, dirt, stone, and water.

Observe Ripple Patterns

Stand outside during rain and look at the ground around you. Each raindrop creates subtle circular ripples that spread outward. The effect is most visible on flat surfaces like plains and deserts. Water surfaces show more pronounced ripples, creating layered wave patterns.

Position for Best Visibility

View rain ripples from a low angle to see the effect most clearly. Standing at ground level or crouching shows more detail than viewing from high above. The ripples are intentionally subtle to avoid performance impact, so they're easier to notice when you're actively looking for them.

Check Performance During Weather

Rain ripples are optimized for stability, but if you notice framerate drops during storms, verify your other shader settings aren't maxed out. ISKRA is designed to handle weather effects smoothly on mid-range systems.
