Upgrading a Copper Shulker Box to Iron

Use the Copper to Iron Upgrade

Take a Copper Shulker Box and a Copper to Iron Shulker Box Upgrade. Combine them in a crafting grid to produce an Iron Shulker Box. The contents of the Copper Shulker Box carry over.

Why Iron Is the Common Target

Iron Shulker Boxes are the tier most players settle on early because iron is easy to farm. Every color has an Iron version, so you can match your base palette: Red Iron Shulker Box, Blue Iron Shulker Box, Lime Iron Shulker Box, and so on through all sixteen colors.

Continuing Upward

If you later want more capacity or a tougher box, keep the upgrade items ready. Iron to Gold Shulker Box Upgrade moves you to Gold Shulker Box. From Gold, use Gold to Diamond Shulker Box Upgrade. Diamond splits into two paths: Diamond to Crystal Shulker Box Upgrade or Diamond to Obsidian Shulker Box Upgrade. Pick one based on which end-tier material you can supply.

Color Note

If you upgrade a colored Copper Shulker Box, you get the matching colored Iron Shulker Box. Dye choices are preserved across the upgrade chain, so you do not need to re-dye after each step.
