How to Upgrade an Iron Jetpack to a Higher Tier

Gather the higher-tier parts

Upgrading means crafting a new Jetpack at the next tier. Each tier uses its own Coil, Capacitor, and Energy Cell, plus a Thruster and a Leather Strap. The four Coil grades are Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil, and Ultimate Coil; Capacitors and Energy Cells share those same tier names.

To move up one tier, craft the Advanced Coil, Advanced Capacitor, and Advanced Energy Cell, then combine them with a Thruster and a Leather Strap. Repeat the pattern with Elite parts for the next step, and Ultimate parts for the top tier.

Swap and recharge

Equip the new Jetpack in your chest armor slot, replacing the old one. Charge it from an Energy Cell of the matching tier before flying, since a freshly crafted Jetpack starts empty.

Keep the old Jetpack as a backup or break it down for parts. Because every tier uses the same component types — Thruster, Coil, Capacitor, Energy Cell, Leather Strap — you can plan your progression by stockpiling the tier of Coil, Capacitor, and Energy Cell you are working toward. Higher tiers give more thrust and a larger energy buffer, so upgrade the whole set together rather than mixing tiers.
