How to Fly With an Iron Jetpack

Equipping the Jetpack

Craft a Jetpack and place it in your chest armor slot. The Jetpack is one of the tiered items in the mod, built from a Thruster plus supporting components. A Leather Strap is used in crafting to hold the pack together. Once equipped, the Jetpack occupies the chest slot and provides flight while it holds energy.

Flight Controls

With the Jetpack equipped and charged, hold the jump key to ascend. Release it to descend under gravity. While airborne, use your normal movement keys to steer. The Jetpack consumes energy from its internal buffer as you fly, so sustained hovering drains it faster than short hops. When energy runs out, you fall normally.

Tiers and Thrusters

Jetpacks come in tiers, each paired with a matching Thruster: Basic, Advanced, Elite, and Ultimate. Higher tiers use better coils — Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil, and Ultimate Coil — in their crafting recipes. A higher-tier Jetpack and Thruster combination gives stronger lift and a larger energy buffer, letting you fly longer between charges. Build the tier you can afford, then upgrade the Jetpack and Thruster together so the thrust output matches the pack's capacity.
