How to Fly and Control an Iron Jetpack

Equipping and Launching

Hold the jetpack in your hand and equip it to your chest slot, or place it in the chest armor slot of your inventory. Once worn, press the jump key while airborne or standing to activate thrust. The jetpack consumes stored energy while active, so watch the charge indicator before taking off over long drops.

Controls

• Jump key: hold to ascend. Release to stop thrusting and begin falling.
• Sneak key: hold while flying to descend faster and land precisely.
• Movement keys: steer horizontally while airborne; momentum carries between inputs.

Hovering is achieved by tapping jump in short bursts rather than holding it, which conserves charge. To land safely, release jump and tap sneak to control your descent instead of dropping at full speed.

Progression Logic

Higher-tier jetpacks are built from coils. Basic Coil is the entry component, with Advanced Coil, Elite Coil, and Ultimate Coil representing each step up. Leather Strap is used in the crafting recipes alongside these coils. Because every jetpack recipe is a shaped crafting recipe, arrange the coil and Leather Strap in the exact pattern shown in the recipe viewer. Upgrading to a higher coil tier gives more thrust and a larger energy buffer, so build the next coil before crafting the next jetpack.
