How to Craft and Equip an Iron Jetpack

Build the components first

Every Jetpack is assembled from a Thruster, a Coil, a Capacitor, an Energy Cell, and a Leather Strap. The tier of the Coil, Capacitor, and Energy Cell determines the tier of the finished Jetpack, so decide which tier you are targeting before you start crafting.

Coils come in four grades: Basic Coil, Advanced Coil, Elite Coil, and Ultimate Coil. Capacitors and Energy Cells follow the same tier names, so a Basic Capacitor pairs with a Basic Coil and a Basic Energy Cell. Craft the Thruster, then craft the matching Coil, Capacitor, and Energy Cell for your chosen tier. Finally, craft a Leather Strap.

Assemble and wear the Jetpack

Combine the Thruster, the Coil, the Capacitor, the Energy Cell, and the Leather Strap in a crafting grid to produce the Jetpack of that tier. The recipe is shaped, so keep the components in the correct arrangement shown in your recipe viewer.

Once crafted, place the Jetpack in your chest armor slot. It occupies the chest slot, so remove any chestplate before equipping it. With the Jetpack worn and charged, you are ready to fly. If you have not charged it yet, do that before taking off — an empty Jetpack will not lift you.
