Finding and Locating Ships in Deep Ocean

Where Ships Spawn

Ships in Integrated Seven Seas only generate in deep ocean biomes with significant open water around them. This prevents structures from overlapping with land, islands, or other world features. Unlike vanilla ocean structures, you won't find ships wedged against coastlines or partially buried.

How to Search Effectively

Travel to deep ocean regions far from land—at least several hundred blocks from any continent or major island. Use a boat or swim to explore, or use spectator mode to scout from above. Ships appear as large wooden vessels with sails; look for the distinctive mast and rigging silhouettes against the sky.

If you're in a modded world with custom ocean biomes, ships will still spawn according to the data pack's compatibility tags, so they may appear in biomes you've added through other mods.

What to Expect

Once you locate a ship, approach cautiously. The interior contains extra hostile mobs compared to the original When Dungeons Arise structures, making combat preparation essential. Bring weapons, armor, and healing items before boarding.
