Setting Up Energy Storage and Generation
Generate power
Place a Generator and give it fuel. It produces energy that can be stored or used by machines on the same network. Connect it to an Energy Battery with Logic Cable or direct placement.
Store power
Energy Battery stores energy for later use. Place several to increase capacity. A Creative Energy Battery provides unlimited energy for testing setups without fuel.
Power machines
The Mechanical Squeezer and Mechanical Drying Basin consume energy. Connect them to a charged Energy Battery. If a machine does not run, check that the battery has charge and that the connection is intact.
Read and control energy
Attach a Part Machine Reader to a machine to read its internal state, including energy. Attach a Part Machine Writer to set values. Use Part Redstone Reader and Part Redstone Writer to bridge redstone signals into the logic network.
Monitor with panels
Place a Part Display Panel on a cable and program a Variable Card to show the current energy level. Use Part Static Light Panel or Part Dynamic Light Panel for visual indicators.
Route with directors
Use a Logic Director to split logic between multiple cables. Use Proxy to expose energy readings to a separate network. Use Input Variable Transformer and Output Variable Transformer when crossing network boundaries.
Keep it stable
A Variable Store keeps values across chunk unloads. Place one near your energy network so readings persist.
