Building Your First Logic Network with Logic Cable and Variable Cards
Laying Cable and Placing Parts
Craft Logic Cable and run it between the blocks you want to read or control. Place a Logic Programmer next to the cable so you can write logic. Attach parts to the cable ends: Part Block Reader, Part Inventory Reader, Part Fluid Reader, Part Machine Reader, Part Entity Reader, Part World Reader, Part Redstone Reader, Part Network Reader, Part Extradimensional Reader, and Part Audio Reader for inputs. For outputs use Part Inventory Writer, Part Machine Writer, Part Entity Writer, Part Redstone Writer, Part Effect Writer, and Part Audio Writer. A Part Connector Mono Directional forces signal to travel one way only.
Writing Variable Cards
Open the Logic Programmer and place a Variable Card in it. Pick a variable type that matches your reader, then save the card. Insert the card into the matching reader or writer part. Use Input Variable Transformer and Output Variable Transformer to convert between variable types when a reader and writer do not match. Input/Output Variable Transformers handle both directions on one part. A Variable Store holds spare cards so you can swap logic without rewriting. A Labeller renames cards and parts so you can tell them apart in large builds.
Routing and Displaying
Use a Logic Director to merge several cables into one bus. Add a Delayer to hold a signal for a set number of ticks. Mount a Part Display Panel or Part Static Light Panel to show values, and Part Dynamic Light Panel for changing output. A Proxy extends the network through walls, and a Facade hides cable runs inside your base.
