Disabling or Managing Mob Spawners
Locate and Identify Spawners
Spawners appear inside Integrated Dungeons Arise structures as glowing cage-like blocks. They spawn vanilla mobs (zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders) at increased rates compared to default spawners. Spawner ranges are wider than vanilla, creating dangerous zones around them.
Disable Methods
Break spawners directly with a pickaxe to destroy them permanently. This is the safest approach for clearing dungeons. Alternatively, place torches or slabs around spawners to reduce mob spawn rates—mobs won't spawn in well-lit areas or on certain block types.
Create a containment chamber by boxing in the spawner with blocks, leaving a small opening. This lets you farm mobs safely if desired, or simply prevents them from reaching you.
Prevention During Exploration
If you want to preserve spawners for later farming, avoid triggering them by staying out of range. Mark spawner locations on your map. Return with proper equipment once you've gathered better gear.
Higher mob counts mean spawners activate faster and spawn more frequently. Prioritize disabling spawners in narrow corridors or high-traffic areas first to create safe passage through the structure.
