Inspirations Mod: Finding Recipes and Blocks in JEI

Locating Mod Content

Open JEI (or your recipe viewer) and type the mod name into the search bar. All Inspirations blocks and items appear together. If nothing shows, the mod is not installed correctly — verify it in the mod list.

Reading a Recipe

1. Click any Inspirations item in JEI to see its recipe.

2. Note the exact grid shape — shaped recipes require precise placement.

3. Hover ingredients to see acceptable substitutes.

4. Press R (uses) on an item to see what it crafts into; press U (uses) to see what consumes it.

From Recipe to Build

• Craft the base item first; it is usually the cheapest entry in the chain.
• Use the crafted item as an ingredient for the next tier rather than hoarding it.
• Place the result in-world to confirm it behaves as expected before crafting more.

When Recipes Don't Appear

• Confirm the mod is in the mods folder and the game version matches.
• Check that JEI itself is installed; without a recipe viewer, mod recipes are invisible in the vanilla book.
• Restart the game after adding or removing the mod.
