Restore Your Cape and Elytra Appearance

The Problem: Forced Texture Changes

Some mods using CICADA override player cape and elytra textures without permission, replacing your cosmetics or skins with unwanted visuals. This happens silently in the background and can't be disabled through normal settings.

How Insecticide Prevents This

Insecticide includes a custom cloak renderer that gives mods a proper way to handle capes and wings without forcing texture changes on your character.

What you'll notice:

1. Your equipped cape texture stays exactly as you set it

2. Your elytra appearance remains under your control

3. Mods that need cape handling still work—they just do it cleanly

4. No more surprise visual changes when loading worlds or joining servers

Once Insecticide is installed, your cosmetics are protected automatically. If you were seeing unwanted texture swaps before, they'll stop immediately. The mod handles this at the rendering layer, so dependent mods never get the chance to override your appearance without your consent.
