Make the Shader Work Well with Custom Resource Packs
Understand Compatibility Basics
Inkboil Shaders applies its cartoon effect on top of your texture pack. Most resource packs work fine, but highly stylized or already-detailed packs may clash with the hand-drawn outline effect.
Test Your Combination
Load your preferred resource pack alongside Inkboil Shaders and explore different biomes and block types. Watch how textures interact with the animated outlines. Simple, clean texture packs typically produce the best results.
Adjust Shader Intensity if Needed
If your resource pack's textures feel too busy with the cartoon lines, return to Shader Options and reduce outline intensity or boil effect strength. This creates better visual balance between texture detail and the sketch animation.
Avoid Conflicting Effects
Resource packs with built-in shaders or extreme color grading may not layer well with Inkboil. Stick to texture-only packs for the cleanest cartoon look.
Fine-Tune Lighting
If colors appear washed out or too dark, check your shader's brightness or contrast settings. The combination of textures and cartoon rendering can shift perceived lighting.
