How to Build Modular Armor with the Modular Workbench

Assembling the Frame

Start by crafting a Frame and a Core of Modularity (Uncharged). The Core of Modularity (Uncharged) is the heart of any modular armor piece; without it the Frame cannot accept modules. Place the Modular Workbench and open it to access the modular crafting interface.

Adding Modules

Insert your Frame and Core of Modularity (Uncharged) into the Modular Workbench. From here you attach enhancer and frame components. Carbon Fiber Helmet Frame, Carbon Fiber Chestplate Frame, Carbon Fiber Leggings Frame, and Carbon Fiber Boots Frame determine which armor slot the finished piece occupies. Add Damage Enhancer to boost melee output, Blasting Enhancer for explosive utility, Buffer Enhancer to expand internal energy storage, and Cooler Cell or Heatsink to manage heat. Carbon Fiber Rod is used in the construction of carbon fiber components.

Powering the Armor

Modular armor runs on charge. Craft a Battery and place a Charge Pad to top up your suit. Use an Energy Reader to check stored charge before heading out. If the Core of Modularity (Uncharged) has not been energized, charge it first through a powered machine or the Charge Pad before expecting modules to function. Keep spare Cooler Cells in a Cabinet near your workbench so you can swap them quickly between expeditions.
