How to Get Latex and Process It in Industrial Foregoing

Collecting Latex

Place a Fluid Collector next to a tree trunk. It draws Latex from the tree over time. Pipe the Latex out with a Fluid Transporter into a Latex Processing Unit.

The Latex Processing Unit converts Latex into Tiny Dry Rubber. Feed it Water as well. Tiny Dry Rubber is the base material for Plastic.

Making Plastic

Combine Tiny Dry Rubber in a crafting grid to get Plastic. Plastic is used in many machine recipes, so keep a steady supply running.

To automate: Fluid Collector on a tree, Fluid Transporter to Latex Processing Unit, Water source into the unit, and an Item Transporter pulling Tiny Dry Rubber into a chest. From there, craft Plastic manually or route it to a crafting setup.

If you need more Latex, add more Fluid Collectors on adjacent tree blocks. Each one runs independently, so scaling is just placing more collectors and merging their fluid output with Fluid Transporters.

Uses

Plastic feeds into recipes for Conveyor Belt, Pity Machine Frame, and many other Industrial Foregoing machines. Keep a chest of Plastic near your machine area so you are not waiting on Latex every time you build something new.
