Understanding Wall and Ceiling Placement Variants
How Placement Variants Work
The Improved Create 32x Model pack includes distinct 3D models for different mounting surfaces. When you place a mechanical block, the mod automatically selects the correct model based on whether it's mounted on a floor, ceiling, single wall, or double wall configuration.
Testing Floor and Ceiling Models
Place a mechanical block horizontally on the ground to see the floor variant. Then place an identical block on the underside of a ceiling block above you—the 3D model will shift to the ceiling variant, with rotated caps and adjusted geometry.
Single and Double Wall Placements
Mount blocks on a single wall surface to observe the wall-mounted model, which typically features side caps and directional connectors. When blocks are placed on adjacent walls forming a corner or edge, the double-wall variant activates with corner-specific geometry.
Observing Mechanical Integration
These variants ensure that shafts, gearboxes, and other Create components look mechanically integrated regardless of orientation. The visual consistency helps your industrial builds feel cohesive across all three dimensions.
