How to Get the Elder Guardian Eye and Elder Trident

Obtain the Elder Guardian Eye

The Elder Guardian Eye is one of the eight registry items in the Impaled Mod and is the material that gates the Elder Trident. It is tied to elder guardian content, so prepare for underwater combat: bring water breathing, a strong weapon, and enough blocks to seal off the monument interior. Defeat elder guardians until you have at least one Elder Guardian Eye in your inventory.

Smith the Elder Trident

With the Elder Guardian Eye in hand, go to a smithing table. The Elder Trident is made with a smithing recipe. Place your Ancient Trident in the base slot, the Elder Guardian Eye in the addition slot, and the matching template in the template slot. Pull the Elder Trident from the output. If the output is empty, verify that the base item is the Ancient Trident and not a vanilla trident.

Continue the Chain

After the Elder Trident, the remaining tridents are the Maelstrom, Hellfork, Pitchfork, Soulfork, and Atlan. Each continues through smithing, so keep returning to the smithing table with the previous trident and the next material. Do not craft the Elder Trident twice; the Ancient Trident is consumed in the recipe, so you must build a new Ancient Trident first if you want a second Elder Trident.
