Crafting the Hellfork, Pitchfork, Soulfork, and Atlan

The Impaled Mod has two recipe types: smithing and crafting_shaped. The Hellfork, Pitchfork, Soulfork, and Atlan are the four tridents outside the main Ancient Trident to Maelstrom line. Because only one crafting_shaped recipe exists in the mod, most of these are smithing upgrades. Set up a smithing table and a crafting table side by side so you can test each recipe without walking back and forth.

Work Through Each Trident

For each of the Hellfork, Pitchfork, Soulfork, and Atlan, place the previous trident in the smithing base slot and the required material in the addition slot. If a recipe does not appear at the smithing table, move to the crafting table and try the crafting_shaped layout. The registry contains exactly eight items: Ancient Trident, Atlan, Elder Guardian Eye, Elder Trident, Hellfork, Maelstrom, Pitchfork, and Soulfork. Any trident you have already made can serve as the base for the next one.

Keep Materials Stocked

Because every upgrade consumes the trident used as its base, craft spare copies of the lower tridents before you branch. Store one of each finished trident in a chest so you can compare stats and decide which to upgrade next. The Elder Guardian Eye is the only non-trident registry item, so reserve it for the Elder Trident step rather than spending it on the side tridents.
