How to Get and Use Bark Blocks

Bark as a building block

Acacia Bark, Birch Bark, Dark Oak Bark and Jungle Bark are decorative wood blocks. They look like the outer surface of a log on every face, which makes them useful for tree trunks, posts, and walls where you want bark texture without the ring pattern of a normal log.

How to obtain Bark

Bark is produced by processing logs. The mod adds smelting and blasting recipes alongside its crafting recipes, so the reliable route is to run the matching log through a furnace or blast furnace and check the output. If a direct recipe does not appear, place the log in a crafting grid with the appropriate tool or material the recipe book suggests — the recipe book will show the exact layout once you have the ingredients.

Using Bark in builds

Bark blocks are full cubes, so they stack and orient like any wood block. Use them for:

• Tree trunks in custom trees, so the trunk matches the canopy's log type.
• Fence posts and gate pillars where a solid bark face reads better than a cut log.
• Accent walls next to Charred Planks for a burnt-forest look.

Combine Bark with the matching Leaf Pile (Acacia Leaf Pile, Birch Leaf Pile, Dark Oak Leaf Pile, Jungle Leaf Pile) to build trees that match the mod's ground cover. Because Bark is a full block, it also works as a hidden structural block behind Leaf Piles and Ivy.
