Cut Iron is the base block for the iron building set. From Cut Iron you can cut Cut Iron Slab and Cut Iron Stairs on a Stonecutter. Plate Iron follows the same pattern: Plate Iron Slab and Plate Iron Stairs are cut from Plate Iron.

Weather It Into Exposed Variants

Exposed Cut Iron, Exposed Cut Iron Slab and Exposed Cut Iron Stairs are the weathered counterparts of the Cut Iron set. Exposed Plate Iron, Exposed Plate Iron Slab and Exposed Plate Iron Stairs do the same for Plate Iron. Exposed Iron Bars, Exposed Iron Door and Exposed Iron Trapdoor are the weathered fittings that match this palette.

Plan a Cohesive Iron Build

Decide up front how much of the surface should stay clean and how much should look aged. Use Cut Iron and Plate Iron for protected interiors and rooflines, then switch to the Exposed variants for walls, fences and doorways that face the weather. Because Slabs and Stairs exist for both Cut Iron and Plate Iron in clean and exposed forms, you can run trim lines across a facade without changing material.
