How to Make Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene Fuel

Getting the Fractions

All three fuels come from refining crude oil in a Distillation Tower. Pump crude with a Derrick and Pumpjack, then feed it into the tower. The tower separates it into Bucket of Gasoline, Bucket of Diesel, and Bucket of Kerosene, along with other fractions.

Using the Fuels

Each fuel has a job:

• Bucket of Diesel — burn it in a Portable Generator for power, or use it to run the Motorboat.
• Bucket of Gasoline — burn it for power, or bottle it into a Gasoline Bottle for portable use. Gasoline also feeds Molotov crafting.
• Bucket of Kerosene — burn it as fuel or push it through the High-Pressure Refinery Unit to upgrade it into higher-value products.

For a dirty variant, Bucket of Sulfurized Diesel is produced through refining and is used where sulfur content matters.

Store fuels in an Oil Tank for bulk, or keep them in buckets for hand-carrying. To power machines away from your refinery, place a Portable Generator and feed it a fuel bucket. Keep a Flarestack on hand to safely dispose of unwanted gas fractions instead of venting them.
