Crafting the Boat

The Motorboat is a powered watercraft. Build it from its crafting recipe, then place it on water. Unlike a plain boat, it runs on fuel rather than paddles.

Fueling and Upgrades

Fuel the Motorboat with refined products from your Distillation Tower. Bucket of Diesel is the practical fuel for it. Produce diesel by pumping crude with a Derrick and Pumpjack, then refining it in the tower.

Upgrade and outfit the boat with these parts:

• Reinforced Hull — strengthens the boat's body.
• Icebreaker Bow — lets the boat push through ice.
• Maneuvering Rudders — improves steering.
• Expanded Fuel Tank — increases fuel capacity for longer trips.
• Emergency Paddles — backup propulsion if fuel runs out.

Support Items

Carry a Lubricant Can filled from Bucket of Lubricant to keep moving parts serviced. For defense or offense on the water, Molotov and Molotov Lit are throwable fire weapons crafted using gasoline fractions.

Store spare fuel in an Oil Tank at your dock so refueling is quick. Fit the Expanded Fuel Tank before long journeys and keep Emergency Paddles aboard as a fallback.
