Preserve Block Texture Detail While Using Shaders
Confirm Texture Clarity Settings
Enter the shader options and look for any texture sharpness, detail preservation, or clarity toggles. Horizon is designed to maintain vanilla block textures, so these settings should be enabled by default.
Check Contrast and Saturation
If textures appear washed out or muddy, locate the contrast or saturation controls in the shader menu. Increasing contrast slightly can restore the crisp appearance of block details. Avoid pushing saturation too high, as this can make textures look artificial.
Disable Conflicting Visual Effects
If your shader pack includes optional effects like bloom, lens flare, or motion blur, these can soften texture edges. Disable or reduce these effects if you prioritize seeing block details clearly.
Compare with Vanilla
Toggle the shader on and off (or temporarily disable it) to compare texture clarity side-by-side. Your settings are optimized when blocks look sharp and readable with shaders enabled, not blurry or overly smoothed.
