Crafting the Redstone and Ender Hooks

Redstone Hook

Redstone dust is the core ingredient of the Redstone Hook. Mine redstone ore deep underground with an iron pickaxe or better and collect the dust it drops. Combine the dust with sticks and the hook components at a crafting table using the shaped recipe. Because redstone ore drops several dust per block, one vein is normally enough for the hook and then some.

Ender Hook

The Ender Hook is the top tier and the hardest to assemble. It uses ender pearls, which drop from Endermen. To farm them safely:

• Build a two-block-high shelter so Endermen cannot reach you.
• Look at an Enderman only when you are ready to fight it.
• Carry your Diamond Hook or Redstone Hook while hunting.

Collect the pearls, then return to your crafting table and lay them into the shaped recipe with sticks to produce the Ender Hook.

Custom Hook

If you have leftover materials from the higher tiers, the Custom Hook is a shaped recipe you assemble from what remains. Treat it as a flexible slot: any surplus ingots, dust or pearls you did not spend on the named hooks can go into it. Craft it last, once the Redstone and Ender Hooks are already in your inventory.
