Crafting the Iron Hook and Diamond Hook

Iron Hook

Collect iron ingots by smelting iron ore in a furnace. Bring them to a crafting table along with sticks. Arrange the ingredients in the shaped pattern for the Iron Hook. The Iron Hook is one of the six registry items in the Hooked Mod, and like every other hook it uses a crafting_shaped recipe, so the grid position of each ingredient matters.

Diamond Hook

Mine diamond ore with an iron pickaxe or better to obtain diamonds. Combine diamonds with sticks at a crafting table using the shaped Diamond Hook recipe. The Diamond Hook is a distinct registry item from the Iron Hook — crafting one does not consume or convert the other. You can hold both at once.

Progression Notes

Both hooks are standalone items, not tiers that upgrade in place. If you already made a Wooden Hook, keep it as a backup while you gather iron and diamonds. Because all Hooked Mod recipes are crafting_shaped, you never need a furnace for the hook itself — only for smelting the iron ore beforehand. Plan your ingredient counts before opening the crafting grid so you do not waste diamonds on a misarranged pattern.
