Optimize Performance While Keeping Visual Quality

Access Performance Options

Open the shader settings menu and look for Performance, Quality, or Optimization tabs within HongJin Ultra Shaders.

Reduce Bloom Radius

The bloom diffusion effect is visually expensive. Lower the Bloom Radius or Bloom Range to reduce how far light spreads, which decreases processing load while keeping the warm glow aesthetic.

Disable or Lower Film Grain

Film grain is a post-processing effect that impacts frame rate. Reducing or disabling it provides noticeable performance gains with minimal visual loss.

Adjust Shadow Resolution

If available, lower Shadow Quality or Shadow Resolution to improve performance. Jade shadows will remain visible but with slightly less detail.

Monitor Frame Rate

Make one change at a time and check your FPS in different environments. Caves and forests typically stress shaders more than open plains.

Preserve Core Aesthetics

Prioritize keeping lantern glows and jade shadows enabled—these define the shader's signature look. Reduce bloom and grain first for the best balance of performance and visual identity.
