How to Make a Mixing Cauldron and Use It

Craft and place the cauldron

The Mixing Cauldron is the central processing block for Hexerei. Craft it, then place it on solid ground with at least one block of clearance on every side so you can reach it from any angle. You will interact with it repeatedly, so put it near your Drying Rack and your storage chest rather than tucking it into a corner.

Feed it dried and raw ingredients

Most cauldron work starts with material you have already dried on a Drying Rack. Dry your plant ingredients first, then add them to the cauldron along with any other required items. The cauldron mixes its contents into a new product rather than consuming items one at a time, so confirm you have every ingredient on hand before you begin a batch.

Keep a rack running alongside it

Because the Drying Rack takes time to finish its work, run it continuously. Load it, leave it, and come back — the dried results are what the Mixing Cauldron expects. A Mahogany Drying Rack or Willow Drying Rack works the same way as the base rack, so pick whichever wood matches your build.

Scale up your station

Once one cauldron is running smoothly, add a second. Two cauldrons let you process one batch while preparing ingredients for the next, which matters once you are producing Infused Fabric Block, Infused Fabric Carpet, and Ornate Infused Fabric Carpet in quantity.
