Craft the woodcutter

Build a Mahogany Woodcutter or a Willow Woodcutter. This block is how you convert raw wood into the full set of shaped building pieces for that wood type. Place it near your build site so you are not hauling logs back and forth.

Convert logs into the full block family

Feed Mahogany Wood or Willow Wood into the woodcutter to produce Mahogany Planks or Willow Planks, then continue cutting to get the derived shapes: Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Fence Gates, Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates, Signs, and Windows and Window Panes. Each wood type has its own matching set, so keep Mahogany and Willow stock separate.

Use stripped wood and polished variants

Stripped Mahogany Wood and Stripped Willow Wood give you a cleaner texture for feature walls and floors. The Polished family — Polished Mahogany Stairs, Polished Willow Slabs, Polished Witch Hazel Doors, and the rest — provides a smoother finish for interior trim. Mix polished and unpolished pieces of the same wood for contrast without breaking the palette.

Build matching furniture
