Getting Started as a Marine

Activating Marine Mode

When you first enter your world, check your inventory for the starter field manual. This guide covers all weapons, stations, recipes, and rules. To transform into a marine, type /marine in chat or use the manual.

Once active, you'll gain classic retro shooter abilities: triple sprint speed (toggle with Caps Lock), automatic block stepping over full blocks, and complete immunity to fall damage. Your health converts to a percentage counter, and hunger is removed entirely.

Other players remain unaffected until they choose to transform. You can toggle marine mode on and off freely without impacting normal gameplay for others. Build the four utility stations—Armor Station, Medkit Station, Medbay, and Reclaimer—to craft gear, heal, and recycle items.
