Understanding the Preset Tiers

Hazy Industrial Glow includes multiple performance profiles: potato (minimal impact, lowest visuals), low, medium, and high (maximum visual fidelity, highest demand). Each preset scales the smog effect, glow calculations, and particle rendering differently.

Changing Your Active Preset

Access the shader options menu and locate the performance profile selector. Choose the preset that matches your hardware. Switching presets immediately applies the new settings—no restart required.

When to Use Each Preset

Use potato or low on older systems or when playing with large render distances and many mods. Use medium for balanced gameplay on mid-range hardware. Reserve high for powerful systems where you want maximum smog density and glow bloom.

If you experience stuttering or low frame rates, drop to a lower preset. You can always increase it later if your system handles it better than expected. The smog aesthetic remains recognizable across all tiers.
