Adjust Shader Quality to Match Your Device
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu from the main Minecraft settings. Look for the Haze Shaders configuration panel—this is where all visual adjustments live.
Choose Your Graphics Tier
Haze Shaders includes three preset quality levels:
- Low: Reduces shadow detail, simplifies bloom effects, and lightens the load on older phones and basic PCs. Water reflections become less detailed but still visible.
- Medium: Balances visual quality with performance. Most devices handle this smoothly, offering good shadows and clear bloom without heavy strain.
- High: Enables full shadow complexity, intense bloom, and detailed water reflections. Reserve this for newer devices and PCs with stronger GPUs.
Fine-Tune Individual Features
Beyond presets, you can toggle specific effects:
- Disable or reduce bloom intensity if bright light sources feel overwhelming
- Adjust shadow distance to reduce rendering load
- Scale water reflection quality independently
Test and Monitor Performance
After changing settings, play for a few minutes and watch your frame rate. If you drop below your target FPS, step down one quality tier or disable individual features. Restart your world if changes don't apply immediately.
