Adjust Brightness and Contrast for Your Setup

Access Shader Settings

Open the Shader Options menu while in-game. Press the key bound to open your shader menu (typically found in Video Settings > Shaders), then locate the Haste Shaders configuration panel.

Fine-Tune Lighting

Haste provides brightness and contrast sliders designed for low-end systems. Increase brightness if your world feels too dark—this is especially useful in caves and at night. Adjust contrast to make details pop without straining your GPU.

Start with default values, then make small adjustments. If your frame rate drops noticeably after changes, reduce the contrast setting rather than brightness.

Optimize for Your Monitor

Different monitors display colors differently. If the vanilla look feels washed out, try increasing saturation slightly. If it feels too vibrant, reduce it. Test changes in different lighting conditions—both day and night—to ensure the settings work everywhere.

Once you find settings that feel right, they'll persist across sessions. You can always reset to defaults if needed.
