Crafting Copper, Iron, Golden, Diamond and Netherite Scythes and Machetes

Same shape, better head

All vanilla-metal tools in this mod use crafting_shaped recipes that mirror the Flint Scythe and Flint Machete layouts. Only the head material changes. Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite each produce a matched Scythe and Machete pair: Copper Scythe, Copper Machete, Iron Scythe, Iron Machete, Golden Scythe, Golden Machete, Diamond Scythe, Diamond Machete, Netherite Scythe, Netherite Machete.

Upgrade order that saves resources

Start with Copper if you have spare copper ingots, then jump to Iron once you have a steady supply. Golden tools are fast but fragile, so craft them only if gold is abundant. Diamond is the first tier worth committing to long-term. Netherite is the top of the vanilla-metal ladder; if you already have a Diamond Scythe or Diamond Machete, use a smithing_transform recipe with a Netherite ingot and the appropriate smithing template to convert it rather than crafting from scratch.

Practical use

Use the Scythe for sweeping fields of wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, and tall grass in one swing. Use the Machete for quick clearing of leaves, vines, and crops where you want precise, fast cuts. Keep one of each tier you can afford so you always have a tool that matches the job and the durability you are willing to spend.
