Crafting the Quest Book

The Quest Book is the entry point for everything in Hardcore Questing Mode. It is produced through the hardcorequesting:book_catalyst_shaped recipe type, which means a catalyst item is placed alongside the book materials in a shaped arrangement. Gather the catalyst component and the book base, then arrange them in the crafting grid according to the shaped pattern the recipe expects. Once crafted, the Quest Book appears in your inventory as a single item.

Opening and Navigating Quests

Hold the Quest Book and use it to open the quest interface. From here you can view available quests, read their objectives, and accept them. Completing a quest's objectives marks it done and makes its rewards claimable. The Quest Book tracks your progress automatically as you play, so you do not need to manually report completion for most tasks.

OP Edition

The Quest Book - OP Edition is a separate variant of the same item. It is intended for operators and map makers who need to edit or manage quests directly rather than play through them. If you only want to complete quests and earn rewards, the standard Quest Book is the one you need. Keep the OP Edition out of normal play unless you are authoring or debugging a quest line.
