Each minecart variant—standard, chest, furnace, hopper, and others—has a unique 3D model when held. You can visually distinguish them by their distinctive shapes and attached components. A chest minecart will show a visible storage box, while a furnace minecart displays a small furnace structure.

Swapping Minecarts in Your Inventory

To switch which minecart you're holding, simply move different cart types into your main hand slot. The 3D model updates instantly to reflect the new cart type. You can cycle through your inventory to compare how each variant looks in the detailed 3D form.

Comparing Models Side-by-Side

Use third-person view (F5) to see the minecart more clearly while holding it. This perspective makes it easier to appreciate the design differences between cart types. You can also drop minecarts on the ground and pick up different ones to compare their held appearances.
