How to Craft Your First Gun in Guns Without Roses

Start With the Iron Gun

Your first firearm is the Iron Gun. It is crafted with a crafting_shaped recipe, so lay the ingredients out in a fixed pattern on the crafting grid rather than dropping them in loose.

Once the Iron Gun is in your inventory, you need ammunition before it will do anything. The matching round is the Iron Bullet, made with a crafting_shapeless recipe — place the ingredients anywhere in the grid and pull the result out.

Feeding the Gun

A gun and its bullets are separate items. Keep both on you: the gun fires, the bullet is the consumable. If you want to carry more than a handful of rounds, craft a Bullet Bag so your ammunition does not eat your whole inventory.

Where to Go Next

When you have iron-tier shooting working, the progression opens up:

• Gold Gun — another gun option at the same crafting tier.
• Blaze Gun — a gun that pairs with Blaze Bullet.
• Diamond Shotgun, Diamond Sniper, Diamond Gatling — the diamond-tier guns, each with its own feel.

Each gun still needs its own bullets loaded as separate items. Craft the gun first, then craft a stack of the bullet it takes, then head out.
