How to Get Venison and Cook It in the Goodall Mod

Hunting and Drops

Venison comes from deer. Use a Deer Spawn Egg to place a deer, then defeat it to obtain Venison. The Deer Head is a separate block drop you can place as a trophy.

Cooking Venison

Raw Venison is processed into Cooked Venison through three recipe types present in the mod: campfire cooking, smelting, and smoking. Place raw Venison on a campfire to cook it over time, or put it in a furnace to smelt it, or use a smoker for the fastest result. All three produce Cooked Venison.

Using Cooked Venison

Cooked Venison is your food item from deer. Keep raw Venison in your inventory until you are ready to cook it, since it is only edible after processing. If you want to store a live deer for later, an Animal Crate holds it without needing to kill it immediately.

Deer Head Placement

The Deer Head block can be placed on a wall like other trophy heads. Combine it with a Hoglin Head if you are building a hunting display. Both are placeable decorative blocks from the same mod.
