How to Craft and Use Scoria Building Blocks

Turning Scoria Into Bricks

Break Scoria from the terrain first. Place Scoria in a crafting grid to get Scoria Bricks. From there, the stonecutter is your main tool: put Scoria or Scoria Bricks into a stonecutter to produce Scoria Slab, Scoria Stairs, Scoria Vertical Slab, Scoria Wall, Scoria Brick Slab, Scoria Brick Stairs, Scoria Brick Vertical Slab, and Scoria Brick Wall. Chiseled Scoria and Chiseled Scoria Bricks are also cut from Scoria-family blocks at the stonecutter. Cracked Scoria Bricks come from the same stonecutter workflow when you select that output.

Decorative Variants

Scoria Pavement and Scoria Pillar are separate decorative cuts made at the stonecutter from Scoria blocks. Polished Scoria is the smooth base for a second family: Polished Scoria Slab, Polished Scoria Stairs, Polished Scoria Vertical Slab, and Polished Scoria Wall. Use these for floors, pillars, and trim where you want a cleaner look than raw Scoria.

Building Tips

Vertical slabs let you make thin walls and window frames that normal slabs cannot. Mix Scoria Bricks with Chiseled Scoria Bricks for textured walls, and use Cracked Scoria Bricks sparingly for ruined sections. Scoria Pavement works well for paths between builds. Keep a stonecutter near your build site so you can convert spare Scoria into whatever shape you run out of.
