How to Open Crates in the Go Fish Mod

Place and Break

Crates are blocks. Place a crate on the ground, then break it with any tool or by hand to release its contents. The crate block is consumed when broken and its loot drops as items.

Crate blocks include Wooden Crate, Iron Crate, Golden Crate, Diamond Crate, Supply Crate, Slimey Crate, Frosted Crate, Fiery Crate, Soul Crate, End Crate, Gilded Blackstone Crate, and Astral Crate.

Which Crate to Open

Each crate type pulls from its own loot pool, so the crate name tells you the tier. Wooden Crate and Supply Crate are the entry-level crates. Iron Crate, Golden Crate, and Diamond Crate step up in rarity. Slimey Crate, Frosted Crate, Fiery Crate, Soul Crate, End Crate, Gilded Blackstone Crate, and Astral Crate are the specialized crates tied to their respective themes.

If you want a specific crate, fish in the biome or condition that matches it. Frosted Crate comes from cold fishing, Fiery Crate from hot fishing, Soul Crate from soul-related water, End Crate from the End, and Astral Crate from the highest tier. Open crates in bulk at a base so you can sort the rods, lures, and fish you pull out.
