How to Catch and Use the Cloudy Crab

Cloudy Crab is a fish item. Catch it by fishing with a rod in the water conditions that match its loot table. Use a mid or higher rod rather than a starter rod, since Cloudy Crab sits above the common fish tier alongside catches like Rainy Bass and Snowball Fish.

If you are not pulling Cloudy Crab, change your fishing spot or swap your lure. Simple Lure and Soul Lure shift the loot table, so try the other lure before moving biome.

Cooking and Eating

Cloudy Crab is a cooking ingredient. The mod includes smelting, smoking, and campfire_cooking recipes, and Smoked Cloudy Crab is the smoked result of Cloudy Crab. Use a smoker to get Smoked Cloudy Crab quickly, or a furnace to smelt it.

Smoked Cloudy Crab is the better food item of the two, so process your Cloudy Crab rather than eating it raw. If you catch several, smoke the whole stack at once. Keep a smoker near your fishing spot so you can cook catches as you pull them and free up inventory space.
